Is this for real? Many of you may be asking yourselves the same question. But I cannot sit around and watch the news channels escalate the situation for postive ratings any longer. I need to get productive and save my sanity AND my nerves. If you can empathize, here’s my approach to keeping ACTIVE while stuck in the house, meanwhile  being PROactive and combatting germs.

DIY In-home Covid-19 Cleaning

Not everyone can or would even want to have a professional cleaning right now, so here are my best tips on how to get’er done yourself and burn some calories and energy while getting the house in shape and germ free. Yes, housekeeping is an EXCELLENT way to stay in shape! So while the gym is likely off limits, put on your smart watch or step tracker and get a cleanin. Spring cleaning season just happens to be right around the corner; isn’t this just the perfect opportunity to get a head start?

DUST the house with hot water and a simple soap. 
(FYI thats a non-soap scum building cleaning soap).

base is an essential oil blend called "Four-Thieves", known for its  ancient protection from the plague as well as the recent

SO why not wash down doors/knobs/non-porous surfaces and furniture, even trim and anything in your path that could use a good wipe down. You can essentially wash down the whole house with it, including kitchen and bathroom cleaning. Go to town and spread that germ fighting ability everywhere. But be sure to get your “high touch zones” and why not give the kiddos a damp cloth and have them join you? Its safe for them AND anything they could get it on. Win-Win.

TIP: esaily wash down walls as well as floors with a microfiber mop like this starfiber ProMop that hands down beats Bona mop simply because it has MANY accessory mop heads built for multiple and unique tasks when Bona merely has two. Additonally, the Bona microfibers are not quality and do not trap and hold dirt like these swedish made ones.

Get ALL  your bases covered!

Handwashing is STILL the best way to stop the spread of infection. But getting KIDS to wash often and WELL can be a challenge. If your placing an order on doterra to get these super products, add the foaming handwash to your cart. At intermittent intervals in my day I tell my kids  “go wash with my ‘super soap'”, and this works great everytime they ask for something too, “mommy, can I have fruit snack?’….”sure, first go wash with my ‘super soap'”, but of course at all the usual times tas well (before/after meals or using the bathroom etc). Foaming handwash is a very cost effective soap choice and another way to get this germ fighting blend everywhere in your home, including in and on your body. Get all your bases covered.

Support MOM-Based Business

After recommending THREE DoTerra products, I should probrably confirm that I am NOT a Doterra distributor or consultant (or whatever they call themselves today). I just trust and see the effectiveness of these products, thus I use them religiously. I do have many consultants that I buy from in my back pocket, as I LOVE supporting small businesses and most especially (and maybe I’m biased) mom-based business 🙂

Secondly, I recommend the floor cleaner and degreaser (referred to as Heavy Duty Cleaner) but the lavendar linen spray is a wonderful Febreeze alterantive that will not compromise your respiratory tract in a time when you need to keep it supported. A wonderful reason NOT to used the commonly coveted Lysol and Windex, which is known for triggering asthma and respiratory distress.

Why avoid conventional cleaners; go green & natural instead?

Two reasons, 1) if you shop in the less frequented areas, your  likely to have more stock available. Thats the cold, hard, undeniable fact. Last but certainly not least 2) they are more effective in fighting NOVEL virus like the one curently plaguing us across the globe and let me exlpain how……..

Germs mutate. That simple. I’m assuming we all currently know and understand that, this is why antibiotics are becoming less and less effective and why stronger and NEW pesticides are required; because pathogens become immune and grow resitant. But….. just like there are no two snowflakes alike, no two plants make-up is the same either. What does this mean? It means pathogens cannot become resistant to plant based germ fighting ability. AMAZING!! The Creator, once again, will not be outdone. Natural, plant based cleaners are the most effective in combatting virus and bacteria. Some plants have stronger anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-microbial power than others, so definitely check into the best options and choose the ones that appeal to you.
